Minty Mangosteen Watermelon Smoothie
For a more intensely flavored drink, reduce the ice by half and chill in the freezer for an hour before serving.
- 1 cup chopped watermelon, seeds removed (about 5 ounces)
- 4 ounces Adam's 100% Mangosteen Juice
- 1 1/2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
- 4 ice cubes (about 2 1/2 ounces)
- 8 mint leaves, plus 1 sprig, for garnish
Combine the watermelon, mangosteen juice, lime juice, ice cubes, and mint leaves in a blender and puree until smooth. Pour into a highball glass, garnish with a mint sprig, and serve with a straw.
Yield: One 10-oz smoothie
Minty Mangosteen Watermelon Smoothie
For an even richer drink, use regular coconut milk instead of the light coconut milk, which is used here because it has about 60% less fat. If you haven't planned ahead and frozen the banana, you can use a banana at room temperature instead. Bananas will keep in the freezer for at least 2 weeks.
- 2 ounces light coconut milk, well-shaken
- 4 ounces Adam's 100% Mangosteen Juice
- 1/2 banana, peeled and frozen for about 1 hour
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 pinch of cardamom
Combine all the ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth. Pour into a highball glass and serve with a straw.
Yield: One 8-ounce smoothie
Mangosteen Raspberry Smoothie
Using frozen raspberries will result in a colder, thicker drink.
- 1/4 cup fresh or frozen raspberries (about 1 1/2 ounces)
- 3 ounces Adam's 100% Mangosteen Juice
- 1/4 plain yogurt
- 2 teaspoons honey
Combine all the ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth. Pour into an old-fashioned glass and serve with a straw.
